SWOP is active in the following coalitions: Grassroots Alliance for Police Accountability (GAPA), Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), United Power for Action and Justice (and through United Power, Metro IAF), Grow Your Own Teachers (GYO), Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), Protected By Faith, Illinois Business Immigration Coalition, Illinois Access to Justice, Chicago Legal Protection Fund, Healthy Illinois, Southwest Employment Collaborative, and Equal Voices.  SWOP participates in the city-wide Micro Marketing Recovery Program (MMRP) as a community partner. SWOP has developed the Parent Engagement Institute in partnership with the Logan Square Neighborhood Association to help develop the capacity of other organizations and communities to use the Parent Mentor Program model of parent engagement in schools and SWOP is the State-funded fiscal agent for the Parent Mentor Program. SWOP convenes the Southwest System of Care (SWSOC) to increase access to healthcare and services for families. SWOP is the lead agency on the southwest side for the New Communities Network and the Southwest Corridor Collaborative, and the One Chicago for All Alliance, all sponsored by LISC Chicago.

SWOP is a fully-vested member of each of these coalitions and SWOP leaders play an important role in shaping the direction of each coalition. Participating in these coalitions provides leaders with a stronger collective voice on immigration, housing, criminal justice, education, and youth organizing issues at the local, state and national level and gives leaders additional opportunities to build public life skills.
