CP4P’s Halloween Haunted House

CP4P’s Halloween Haunted HouseOn October 31st, 2024, the Southwest Organizing Project’s (SWOP) safety team, Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), transformed their office into a thrilling Halloween Haunted House, drawing hundreds of community members for a night of spooky fun. Attendees braved the eerie setup, navigating a maze of frightening decorations and surprising encounters. At the end of the haunted house, children were greeted with candy bags, adding a sweet touch to their Halloween experience. Member institution Inner-city Muslim Action Network (IMAN) was also present, providing valuable resources to families and connecting residents with programs focused on health, wellness, and community support.

The success of the event was a true community effort, with even local leaders—who typically host their own haunted houses—joining forces with CP4P to make this event unforgettable. Their collaboration brought together residents of all ages, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and supportive. This Halloween event highlighted the strong spirit of unity within the Southwest Side, as neighborhood leaders, organizations, and families gathered not just for Halloween festivities but to reinforce a shared commitment to safety, joy, and community well-being.
