The Southwest Organizing Project's (SWOP) Community Violence Intervention (CVI) team, Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), has launched an inspiring initiative called the Grow Program. Designed to guide at-risk youth onto positive paths, the program focuses on leadership development and goal setting. The goal is to empower young people to take control of their futures. By providing mentorship, resources, and structured activities, the Grow Program creates a safe and supportive environment where participants can explore their potential and develop the skills needed to thrive personally and professionally.
In workshops, group discussions, and one-on-one coaching, young people identify their passions, set achievable goals, and pursue meaningful opportunities. The initiative also emphasizes the importance of self-confidence, community engagement, and resilience. By nurturing young leaders, SWOP and CP4P are not only helping to transform individual lives but also fostering a new generation of changemakers capable of contributing to the safety and growth of their communities.
